Responding to Conflict

Due to sinful human nature, conflict can occur between family, friends, co-workers, and even people at church. The Nebraska District is offering Saturday seminars throughout the district to help people learn about biblical reconciliation. Rev. Mark Rockenbach will help participants identify causes of conflict, and the healing power of confession and forgiveness. Holy Savior will be hosting a seminar on March 20th from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Registration forms are available at the Welcome Center and are to be mailed in with the $20 registration fee (covers educational materials and lunch) to the District Office by March 5th.

Parables of Jesus Bible Study

Parables-StudentJesus’ parables are timeless, powerful, and profound. Yet there is a dimension to them that can only be appreciated fully when seen through ancient Middle Eastern eyes. Drawing on remarkable cultural and historical insights from renowned New Testament and Middle East scholar Dr. Kenneth Bailey, this course explores how Jesus’ audience would have understood eleven of Jesus’ parables as recorded in Luke. Pastor Porath is leading Bible studies on the parables of Jesus during the 8am and 11 am church services in the red room. All are invited to join at anytime!
